I am a serious Mandarin student. I am married to a Chinese Malaysian and we have a 1 year old daughter. While I am in Beijing my wife and baby girl will be in Malaysia. I am a middle aged professional, currently a social worker and teacher. I have taught English in Singapore and do not mind tutoring English.

I am looking for a homestay family that is generally outgoing and willing to converse with me in Mandarin, no matter how bad my language skills are. I do not need extra frills (meals maybe, but I am just as happy eating out). I do like a bathroom with a working toilet. I'm not a fan of pit toilets but can manage. I enjoy kids, so a family with a child (children) is a bonus for me.
